The event is open to all cars registered before 31st December 1930.

The four classes are:

ANTIQUE: Class A
Prior to 31st Dec, 1904

VETERAN: Class B
1st Jan, 1905 – 31st Dec, 1918

VINTAGE: Class C
1st Jan, 1919 – 31st Dec, 1926

VINTAGE: Class C1
1st Jan, 1927 – 31st Dec, 1930

All classes of cars are eligible for the Overall Prize.

We are happy to announce details of our 2022 IVVCC International Gordon Bennett Rally on Saturday 11th June 2022. The event is open ONLY to all cars registered before 31st December 1930 and the IVVCC is happy to announce that we have again reduced the entry price for 2022 and welcome the continued sponsorship of Barrett Private Insurances and Chubb.

We are once again delighted to announce that Frank Hussey, has agreed to be Clerk of the Course, assisted by Ian McCulloch and they and their team are now planning a one-day rally, strictly in line with Government and Health regulations at that time. This year, in response to a number of comments received from previous entrants we will again ask people to choose which speed they will maintain, i.e., 18 or 24 mph and you should indicate on the entry form which one you prefer. You should also advise if you require parking for the car and a trailer at the start of Rally.

The Rally Registration takes place on Saturday morning, 11th June, in Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow, Co. Carlow. We will advise the start time closer to the event and there will be a dedicated lunch stop, where entrants will have a choice of numerous places to have lunch or enjoy their own picnic lunch, before following the timed return route to Mount Wolseley Hotel.

We have arranged a Buffet/BBQ following the event on Saturday evening at an additional cost of €30 per person which should be booked in advance of the event.

The entry fee of €50 covers Event entry, morning tea/coffee, car number plates and route book.

Marshals will be located on the route using manual regularity recordings. Prizes will be awarded to the winner in each category and trophies will be given to the Overall Winning Driver and Navigator and second Runner-Ups and category winners after the results are announced in the following days. The route book, plus full regularity information, the number of your car number plate/numerical roundels, and vouchers for morning refreshments for 2 people at Registration will be emailed to all entrants prior to the event. It will only be necessary to collect your physical car number plate/numerical roundel at Registration between 8.30am and 10.00am. Early registration is recommended and all classes of cars are eligible for the Overall Prize. We will send additional information to all entrants for entries received by closing date Friday, 20th May 2022.

Deluxe Double Bedroom – Twin/Double Occupancy
€170 B/B – 1 night
€335 B/B – 2 nights
480 B/B – 3 nights

Deluxe Double Bedroom – Single Occupancy
€125 B/B – 1 night
€245 B/B – 2 nights
€335 B/B – 3 nights

Entrants wishing to book accommodation over the weekend will be given a code which will facilitate each entrant to book their own accommodation directly with the hotel. The hotel is holding a limited number of rooms on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June so once you receive a booking code it is advisable to make contact with the hotel to ensure you have booked your own accommodation. Please note – we will not be making any hotel bookings for this event. We look forward to meeting you in Mount Wolseley on Saturday 11th June 2022.
