BRASS BRIGADE Entry 2019

The IVVCC is pleased to announce details of the 6th Brass Brigade Run. Following on from the successful events of the past five years, we are again running this special event to cater for veteran car owners with historic cars pre 1919.

The event will follow the same format as previous years, however, this year we will assemble in the Clonmel Park Hotel, Clonmel, Co Tipperary on the Saturday afternoon, 24th August, where we will have a short run, commencing at 3pm before returning to the hotel to enjoy the facilities. We will have a Welcome Drinks Reception at 7pm, followed by dinner at 8pm.

Following breakfast on Sunday morning, 25th August, the cars will depart at 9.30am for a Run of approximately 50 miles, taking in some of the renowned scenery of the beautiful Tipperary countryside. This Run will be a gentle meandering route on quiet roads and will include a suitable rest stop around the halfway mark. We will then make our way back, through an equally scenic route, to the Clonmel Park Hotel for our Farewell Lunch.

The weekend package is based on two people sharing and includes drinks reception on Saturday evening, dinner, bed, breakfast, rally entry and farewell lunch at a total cost of €255 per car (driver and one passenger sharing room). The event is open to both members of the IVVCC and our affiliated clubs. Trailer parking will be arranged. Extra passengers and accommodation, including single room accommodation, will be on request.

Members and Affiliate Members in the nearby counties may join the event on Sunday morning, registering between 8.30am and 9.30am, at a cost of €65 for driver and passenger to include event entry, coffee break on the route and lunch at the Clonmel Park Hotel.

IMPORTANT: This Run is a pre-registration event and it will not be possible to enter on the day.

EARLY REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED AS THERE IS A LIMITED NUMBER OF ROOMS AVAILABLE IN OUR ALLOCATION.

THE START: Registration is open from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday afternoon in the hotel lobby. There is an opportunity to take part in a car display in Kilkenny Castle Grounds. Those wishing to take part in this display need to register between 2pm and 3pm on that Saturday in order to participate in this display.

On Sunday morning the Run itself starts at 9.30am sharp from Clonmel Park Hotel.

THE CLASSES: Only Veteran Cars (pre-1919 are eligible to enter).
